Michael J. Teter

I became a lawyer because I believe that the law provides an incredible avenue to make a difference. Since graduating from Yale Law School, I’ve spent my career pursuing causes that mattered to me. I’m trained in civil litigation, civil rights, constitutional law, election and campaign finance law, appellate law, and employee rights. I have championed my clients’ causes in both criminal and civil matters, including in complex civil cases, constitutional litigation, and antidiscrimination suits. I also have taught constitutional law, statutory interpretation, administrative law, and election law at the University of Utah and Pomona College, and was a teaching fellow and supervising attorney at Georgetown Law. I’ve represented clients before the United States Supreme Court, the United States Courts of Appeals for the Ninth and Tenth Circuits, and in federal and state courts and agencies across the country.
